Christian Family Recovery

THE Christian recovery site recognised by churches worldwide — for individuals, for families, and for those training for peer-to-peer service.

Hope and healing for anyone affected by addiction. You don’t have to walk this journey alone.

Alcohol, drugs, gambling — and the family living with it.

I'm Pastor Simon. I have sat where you are sitting — as the one who was drinking, and later as the one trying to help. I lost my family to alcohol addiction. These courses are what I needed and couldn't find: honest, biblical, and quiet enough to work through at your own kitchen table — so that, with God's help, the damage addiction brought to my life doesn't have to come to yours.

And we stay with you for as long as it takes. This isn't a set number of weeks and then goodbye — it's from today until you feel you no longer need us.

Written for the whole family: the person in recovery · the spouse & family · the church or rehab centre · and Recovery to Service for those who come through.

Pastor Simon

Pastor Simon

Founder, Christian Family Recovery

I'm Pastor Simon, and I know this journey firsthand.

I was a pastor with a church and a family — and a drink problem I hid from all of them. I tried three secular programmes. They were run by good people, and none of them worked for me, because they treated the drinking and left the rest of me alone.

It was only when I realised this was spiritual as much as psychological that real healing began. After my own suicide attempt, everything changed. God met me in a caravan at the lowest point of my life, and He began to put me back together. I had lost my family to alcohol addiction by then; what He restored was me — and a calling to help others, with God's help, avoid the damage addiction brought to my life.

So that is how every course here is written: deeply emotional, exactly psychological and essentially spiritual. Not one of those three on its own — all three, because that is what it took for me.

That is why this ministry exists. Not because I have it all worked out, but because I know what it is to need this and not be able to find it — for me, and for the family I lost. Everything here is written from that place, so that the damage addiction brought to my life doesn't have to come to yours.

And one more thing, because it matters: we don't leave when a course ends. Recovery isn't eight weeks and done. Your courses, the devotionals, the prayer groups and I are here for as long as it takes — from today until the day you feel you no longer need us.

The Christian foundation for recovery · accepted worldwide · four doors, one family

The one and only recovery resource built for the whole family — the person in recovery, the family beside them, the church that holds them both, and the ones who come through to serve.

Addiction never touches just one person, so nothing we make is written for just one person. Every course has a track for the one in recovery and a parallel track for the family — written by people who have been both, and who have also been the pastor trying to help. Every church or centre can license all of it; and, soon, those who come through will be able to train to help the next person. Choose your door.

Where most people begin

Deeply emotional. Exactly psychological. Essentially spiritual. That's what every one of our courses is.

Every primary course runs on twin tracks — one for the person in recovery, one for the family who loves them.

Addiction never touches just one person, so we don't treat it that way. Each of these courses is written twice, week for week: once for the person walking out of addiction, and once for the spouse, partner or family member walking beside them. Everyone heals, and everyone gives the other the best chance of success. Bought once, kept for life, with your own private login.

In their own words

People who walked it out

Shared with permission. Names shortened and places kept to a country, because privacy is part of the promise.

Shame kept me silent for years. I couldn't tell anyone the thoughts I was carrying — not my family, not my pastor. Christian Family Recovery gave me the safe space I so desperately needed. The courses walked me through salvation, sound teaching, and what it truly means to be transformed by Jesus. Being able to talk honestly, anytime — through the companion tool — helped me face things I'd never have said out loud. It never judged, always pointed me to God's Word, and reinforced what I was learning each week. I'm sober now, my family has been restored, and I know without a doubt God led me here. If you're struggling — don't wait. This works.

For years I watched my husband drift — the drinking, the distance, the broken promises. I'd given up hope. Then we found Christian Family Recovery. The courses met him exactly where he was, gently pointing him to Jesus and teaching him what it means to lead our home in love and integrity. I did the family-focused courses alongside him, and God began to heal both of us. The honesty, the biblical teaching, the practical steps — everything helped us rebuild from the ashes. Today my husband is walking in recovery, our home is filled with peace, and we serve the Lord together. CFR didn't just save him — it saved our marriage, and it pointed us both back to God. There is hope — truly.

Sarah · Canada

I thought I'd never break free. I'd tried everything — rehab, meetings, willpower — but nothing stuck until I found Christian Family Recovery. The courses didn't just tell me to stop; they rooted my recovery in the gospel. Week by week, I saw who I am in Christ, learned to walk in the Spirit, and replaced my old habits with God's truth. The 24/7 companion became a quiet, steady support in the darkest hours — pointing me back to Scripture when I felt weak. Today I'm clean, I'm serving in my church, and I'm walking in freedom I never thought possible. This isn't just a program — it's God's grace in action.

Mark · United States

I've searched for years for solid, biblical resources to support those in recovery and their families — Christian Family Recovery is exactly what the body of Christ needs. The courses are doctrinally sound, deeply gospel-centered, and accessible for everyone from new believers to mature Christians. I've integrated them into our church's recovery and home groups, and the feedback has been remarkable. They don't just address addiction — they build solid theological foundations, teach the Fruit of the Spirit, and equip believers to live faithfully and share the gospel. The additional support tools enhance the learning experience without replacing human care — a beautiful balance. I recommend CFR to every pastor and church seeking to walk with people toward true, Christ-centred healing.

Andrew · United Kingdom · Church partner

I cried out to God every night for my son — grown, but lost to alcohol and drugs. Nothing I said or did made a difference. Then we walked through Christian Family Recovery together. The courses spoke to his heart in a way I never could — with gentleness, truth, and the unchanging hope of the gospel. Week by week, I watched God soften his heart, replace his shame with grace, and give him a new identity in Jesus. The teaching on the Fruit of the Spirit, tithing, and living a life pleasing to God gave him a whole new framework for living. Today he's free — he doesn't just say no to substances; he says yes to Christ, to his family, and to the life God always intended for him. This ministry is an answer to a mother's prayers.

A faith-based ministry, not a company

Christian Family Recovery is a ministry. Everything here is paid for by people like you.

We are not a business with investors. We are a pastor who has walked this road, a small team, and the people who believe in this work. The free guides, the hardship places, the prayer groups, the daily devotionals — and new work like Recovery to Service — are only possible because of two groups of people: those who pay for our existing courses, and those who choose to support us financially.

So when you buy a course, you are not just buying a course. You are funding someone else's place who could not afford one, and the next thing we build. Thank you — genuinely.
