Why This Ministry Exists

"What the enemy meant for harm, God turned it for good."

Narrated · founders remain anonymous

A note from the founder: I'm Pastor Steven. I keep my full name and my children's identity private. They're the ones who didn't choose this story, and I don't want them growing up known as "the pastor's kids whose dad was an addict." For what it's worth: I trained and served in the main evangelical seminaries and denominations, and in my last years as a pastor I established an independent, non-denominational evangelical church. But what matters isn't my CV or the rest of my name — it's that God meets us in our brokenness, and this ministry exists because He met us in ours.

"We believe recovery was never meant to happen in isolation. Our goal is to walk with every addict and every family member — through relapse, through rebuilding trust, through hope — until healing reaches the whole household."

I was a pastor. Married with children. My wife and I enjoyed Friday night date nights with a bottle of wine — nothing I thought twice about.

Then COVID hit, and the church was thrown into chaos.

The stress began to mount. Some people wanted to come to church, irrespective of the risks. Others did not want to come at all. I was creating live streaming services to an empty sanctuary, recording and editing videos — all as one person. The technical burden. The pastoral burden. The weight of navigating a divided congregation.

Add to that family issues — the normal stuff of life, plus extended family issues from my past and present. Suddenly, that one bottle on Friday night became a secret second bottle, hidden from my wife.

I was having a breakdown. And I turned to alcohol to help me "escape" and cope.

But I wasn't coping. I was destroying my life. My family. My marriage. My ministry.

The alcohol took hold. I was secretly drinking. Driving under the influence. I ended up in court because of my driving. I ended up living in a caravan. I lost my ministry. My career. My marriage. My family.

I was very, very alone and broken.

Suicide felt like the only escape left. Thankfully, I failed.

🙏 God Intervened

Ultimately — now — on the other side of all of this: God intervened, and He restored me.

This — Christian Family Recovery — this is now our ministry. Mine, and my wife's.

What we've learned over the past several years — as the one who fell, and as the one who stayed — is ploughed into this platform, to help you.

We see this from two very different sides. One of us knows the pull of the bottle and the shame of the fall; the other knows the sleepless nights, the fear, and what it costs to stay. Both voices — both kinds of pain, both kinds of hope — are woven through everything here.

We built this for all of you.

The spouses.
The families.
The children.
The addict.

This is for YOU.

Why people stop looking once they find us

The only Christian recovery service built for all four people in the room: the addict, the family, the church and the rehab centre.

Most options make you choose: faith or structure, the addict or the family, a meeting or something that's there at 3am. We built the whole thing under one roof, with safeguarding written into it — so nobody has to settle for half an answer.

Individuals

Three sequential courses (8 + 17 + 12 weeks), a private AI companion at 3am, daily check-ins. First course free, forever.

What you'd be settling for anywhere else:

✕A meeting once a week — and nothing at 2am
✕A secular app that can't talk about God, grace or your church
✕A programme for the addict that leaves the family to cope alone
✕Volunteers "supporting" vulnerable people with no training and no supervision
Here: all of it, in one place, from a former pastor who has walked this road — with the first course free so you can see for yourself before you spend a penny.
