Christian Family Recovery

Scholarship fund

Most people can pay for their course. Many cannot. You can stand in the gap.

Every Christian Family Recovery course is a single one-time payment, and most of the people who come to us are able to make it. That is what keeps the lights on. But every week we also hear from people who cannot — a mum whose husband's gambling has emptied the account, a man three days sober with no job to go back to, a church in a town where nobody has forty dollars to spare.

They write to us through our hardship section, in a few honest lines. We ask whether there is any amount they can put towards it — and then we say yes. We never turn anyone away for lack of money. The scholarship fund is how we keep that promise.

Pastor Simon

"When someone tells me they can't pay, I don't want to check a balance before I answer. Your gift means I don't have to." — Pastor Simon

  • One-off gifts fund a place for the next person who asks. $40 is one full course — for the person in recovery or for the family beside them.
  • Monthly gifts let us plan. Knowing what is coming in means we can say yes immediately, keep prayer groups open, and carry on building Recovery to Service and the courses still in progress.
  • Every gift goes to the work of the ministry — hardship places first, then the ongoing work that makes the next course, guide and prayer group possible.

Fund a place

$10 a month funds 3 full course places a year — and lets us say yes to a hardship request before the money is in.

Secure card payment through Stripe. A receipt is emailed automatically. Monthly gifts can be stopped at any time by replying to any receipt.

Who it helps

People who have asked for a course through the hardship section and told us, honestly, what they can and cannot pay. Individuals in recovery, spouses, parents and adult children.

How it is handled

Pastor Simon reads every hardship request personally. A place is opened on the course they asked for — nothing more is asked of them, and their details stay private.

What you will hear back

Regular givers receive a short note each quarter with one real story (first name only) that their gifts made possible. No glossy appeals, no pressure.

Prefer to support the wider ministry rather than course places specifically? See Support the ministry. Churches wanting to sponsor places for their own congregation can license the whole library instead.
